I’ve eaten here once the service was I mean, I put three stars. The service was not all that even though they didn’t accommodate put in callaloo on the side instead of this steamed veg per my request as I am pregnant and I’ve been craving Calalou all the time however the food was old food and I hate that it’s like the food wasn’t The food had been through a few shifts if you know what I mean so the rice was clump and old I had the curry goat you can always tell curry go all when the gravy is too thick so yes I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone you can tell. They have a good name though because they were super busy and they were getting a lot of DoorDash orders so maybe I just visited on an off day for the curry go but I won’t be returning. They have white rum cake, which I’ve never seen so I may return just to try that after I deliver the baby I’ll update my review after

I ordered carry out and I just called the owner to complain. About not telling me to order more oxtails.. it’s soooo good. Honestly, he made our experience much better. Teaching us about Jamaican food. When I called to complain, he even offered to bring me more. Good people, good food, good service. Highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed eating here. Service was great, welcoming. I had the oxtail mini, rice/peas steamed cabbage and a side of stew peas. Oxtail fall off the bone tender, very well seasoned and cooked, cabbage good, stew peas delicious, and for good measure I took a large chicken soup that is equally delicious for my meal tonight. I highly recommend this place if craving some Jamaican food.

Ackee Tree Jamaican Restaurant This was my first visit, but I came on the recommendation of a friend who raves about this place as the best Jamaican eatery in Fort Lauderdale. Upon arrival, I noticed several people enjoying their meals at this casual spot located in a strip mall. We were greeted warmly by the two ladies working at the counter. I ordered the large oxtails for $21, a Bigga grapefruit soda, and a jerk patty for tomorrow’s lunch. The portions were massive—7 tender, juicy oxtails served with rice and peas, steamed vegetables, and perfectly fried plantains. The oxtails tasted as amazing as they looked, the vegetables were nicely steamed, and the plantains were perfection. I wouldn’t hesitate to stop here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Jamaican cuisine. They also offer a variety of Jamaican sweets, crackers, and homemade rum cake.

First time here.. Food was good. Service would be better There were roaches crawling by the front door, although it’s a common occurrence in Florida it’s definitely worth attending to by the manager. Not sure i would be back to eat here.
